Overview

Short Circuit sells engineering project kits that pair hardware with guided instructions, documentation and video support. The store sets out a clear path from choosing a kit to showing the finished build, and organizes every kit by engineering discipline.

Designed and developed by the Beta Gen Technologies team, who also built the custom learning platform. The team hosts the site on its own servers, maintains it and helps keep it secure.

The client

Short Circuit is a US-based company that helps students and early-career engineers build practical, portfolio-ready projects. Its range includes kits such as a programmable load and an embedded-systems smartwatch. Its custom learning platform links each kit to its course, so students learn the material and then apply it with the kit.
